I enjoyed reading about your experience.  I actually wrote about seven entrepreneurs who did the same thing in a book called ... Accidental Branding: How Ordinary People Build Extraordinary Brands.

Four of the seven brands I wrote about were started by women: Burt's Bees, Columbia Sportswear, Baby Einstein and The Art of Shaving.
